Capstar Flea Treatment tablets is a fast-acting flea treatment for dog, starting to work within 30 minutes. A single dose of Capstar will kill 90% of adult fleas within 4 hours. Pets may temporarily scratch as result of the fleas dying. Capstar is for dogs over 25 lbs. Nitenpyram the active ingredient in Capstar is an insecticide. It interferes with nerve transmission in the fleas. Capstar may be used along with monthly or longer-lasting flea preventative medications to address a flea infestation. It can also be used together with other pet medications such as hearworm preventatives, corticosteroids, antibiotics, vaccines, deworming medications and shampoos. If you are unsure contact your vet. Capstar is for use in dogs 4 weeks of age and voer 2 lbs. of body weight.
